If you like use your laptop Wi-Fi as a hotspot for ICOM Wi-Fi connection you could contuine reading.

Q1. Why not using Win10/11 built-in hotspot function?
A1: Because it couldn't open a hotspot without a internet connection, so if you need to use your cell phone to open a hotspot, then connect your laptop to your phone then open a hotspot....

Q2. Why not other Wi-Fi hotspot app like mHotspot or Wi-Fi point?
A2: Because they don't support the new Wi-Fi direct feature in Win10/11, they still using the 'Hosted network' feature which was removed in newer Wi-Fi drivers. Only a few apps support the Wi-Fi direct feature, free app is hard to find.

So the app is MyPublicWiFi, free and powerful app(supports Wi-Fi direct, build-in DHCP server).
Download: Just Google MyPublicWiFi.

How to use it?

Step1: Install the app, open it, set SSID and password which the same as in your ICOM WLan settings.
Step2: Open Settings->DHCP settings, mofidy the settings as your wish or leave as default.
Step3: Start Hotspot, plugin your ICOM to your car and wait it connect to your laptop.

When you see client connects to your laptop, you can use iTool Radar or ISTA to find your ICOM. In ISTA's connection manager, you could see ICOM is connecting using Wi-Fi. Then you could do diag and other things.

Ive tried using this app but now ENET only appears in Esys. In ZGW_search and ISTA doesnt show up. I can use ENET in ediabas using EasyConnect but have to look for ENET ip from esys.
Also ICOM has issues sometimes, doesnt show in DR Gini.
Any way to fix this issue or restore what tool changes?
Ive tried Network reset but doesnt help.
