Please help me choose FRM - Cowboy - 30-08-2023

I am asking for help in choosing the right FRM module for vin:
WBAVR31020A149223
Someone installed FRM2 number 61359166707 in the car.
I think I should look for MAX Brose 61359308371.
Can someone check?
Thank you in advance and best regards!

You need one of:
9131940
9137127
9146060
9146082
9153781
9159810
9166710
9187551
9204528
9204526
9166708
9204536
9224598
9230445
9241008
9240533
9249086
9263803
9286887
9308371
9340339
9383050
9390491
6827064

P.S. That is IF and ONLY if your car has no retrofits which would require different FRM part number.

As these are most simple FRMs...

P.P.S. Because that FRM2 you currently have also supports fog lights, just as an example.

In my opinion, the module that is currently installed is from E87.
The problem is that the rear lights don't work properly

That are the partnumbers for that vin from Aos (on top newest partnumber and on bottom oldest). Have you tryed to code the actual FRM with default values?

61 35 9390491
61 35 9383050
61 35 9340339
61 35 9308371
61 35 9286887
61 35 9263803
61 35 9249086

61 35 9241008
61 35 9230445
61 35 9224598

Yes, the module that is now in the car I tried to encode to the series, but the position lights and brake lights do not work properly. I have already ordered another Max brose module.

FA/VO must also be changed on a used FRM to match yor car.

On E series VO on FRM is for your convenience ONLY. If you use SSD file, it does NOT matter what VO is on FRM.

That is correct, however I think it's always best to copy VO to replacement FRM.
In that way there is always 2 valid copies, one in CAS and one in FRM.

Not 100% sure, but I think ISTA-P complains when CAS/FRM VO doesn't match. For me doesn't matter usually, but I prefer the 'cleanest' solution.

BTW just curious, how did you find all these old partnumbers? For example realoem only suggest the MAX BROSE frm's for all cars
