Second hand Kafas4 - jaki - 12-09-2023
Patient: F40 with broken Kafas4 (2020)
I tried to enable second hand unit with AOS Ista, but failed to inject FSC's (there are several of those)
I assume that is not possible at all?
Anyway brand new unit is ordered and will be installed tomorrow.

need virgin but ppl wont tell you for free, I believe once a new KAFAS is ordered, also a new FSC set is generated at BMW so you need a new pack, but i stand corrected if thats not the case

Ok ,that's what I also thought.
Earlier FSC's would have been with that stupid USB stick, but I think newest ISTA will load those automatically from Munich servers. At least my sticks led didn't blink at all when it loaded FSC for Kombi (that went ok, because unit was original).

I can also download FSC pack for you if you want, but you are right ISTA will take care of it if you run the replacement, however I code KAFAS and inject FSC with E-Sys and it only takes 10 minutes max

Yes, but whenever I make jobs to companies i prefer the "official" way. that will secure my ass better if something goes wrong
. And, there will be logs in Munich if somebody in the future likes to ask what have been done.

It has one camera if's that You ment.
So deleting old FSCs is enough?
Anyway: new unit arrived, installed and it took only a couple of minutes to flash, code and load FSC's with my new very fast Lenovo
.And present AOS Ista don't ask anything about FSC's, it just load them automatically and everything went ok.
