2011 Peugeot 207 1.4 hdi ECU update for P1490 fix - jamesworts - 13-09-2023

Hi,

Has anyone got the flash/EEPROM needed to update the Bosch ECU on this car?

Or can help me with what software/hardware I need to be able to do this?

Create account and buy subscription for PSA DiagBox and a reprogramming token (Google for "PSA servicebox" for link) and do it the official way.
You will need a good J2534 passthru and battery maintainer (power supply).

If I'm not mistaken, 1 token = 1 VIN - this means you can update any other module too if there are updates. But better read terms and conditions, maybe they've changed something.

Well, I gave it a go.
All went well until I tried "downloading", kept getting an error saying it couldn't read from a memory section, or something like that.

It read all the modules and auto detected the vehicle using my genuine Launch Smartlink J2534. But couldn't erase fault codes, so I suspect I will need a different VCI.

Any suggestions?
I have a genuine BMW Icom, Genuine VCP Pro, Genuine CANtiecar multiplexer.

Thanks

CanTieCar should be good,, but you would need to contact the developer and buy license extension for J2534 driver too, if your device does not have this option yet.

Other two are useless, as they are only brand-specific.

Thank you matey, I brought the CanTieCar as a kit from a supplier with Multiecuscan for Fiat, I am waiting for TieCar to come back to me with pricing to unlock extra features.

Thanks again.
