CAS E61 need Info - Blondy - 06-10-2023

Hey Guys,

I need some Info about CAS from E61. Is it possible to replace a defective one with a used one?

Flashing, coding, what about the Keys?

I tried searching but didn't find anything specific or too different...

Thank You
/M

Hi. If there is communication with the old Cas, you can make a clone and copy all the data

Hi,
Thank You, yes there is communication with the old one.

How do I clone it?

read EEPROM with compatible programming tool(CGDI, VVDI etc.) and write it back to new CAS.

Ok thank You. So special hardware is required, which I don't have. maybe it's better to send it to someone who can clone it...

But, I was at the car for some hours yesterday, now I know the Problem exactly.
Car runs for 2 weeks without any problems, then everything is off, radio, lights, completely dead inside, but it can be started and the wipers are running all the time. After disconnecting the CAS the lights are back, that's why a defective CAS was diagnosed.

Anyone know this Problem? Is it defective CAS, or maybe something else?

First I flashed it new yesterday. Could it help?
