BMW F20 EPS no see in esys - Pedrom92 - 28-10-2023
Hello, I have a problem on a BMW F20, EPS is not visible in esys.
I've already replaced it with 4 EPS engines, I've already cloned an FEM and replaced it, the car works flexray starts without errors with the 2 FEM but EPS is never visible.
there is 12v on the plugs, flexray lines up to the FEM are good and ground too.
Has anyone had a similar problem and resolved it?

Have checked for shorting and lead wire by wire?

You should REALLY use oscilloscope for such jobs... If everything is there then is should work. If it doesn't - something is wrong and oscilloscope is BY FAR the easiest way to check.

I think EPS not exist in SVT. So learn flexray is not successful.
Forcibly turn on all chanel of the flexray, and most likely a connection with EPS will appear.

hello, I just didn't check with an oscilloscope. otherwise everything seems to be fine.
in SVT it is not visible but if I calculate the TAL it shows the EPS in red.

there is no magic, you have no communication with EPS. You need to verify the Wires.. with OSCI, or
One By One with Multimeter, not only with your Eyes

If ESP is not in SVT, then there will be no connection with it, because the bus flexray is not initialized.
Firstly need the correct SVT record. Second - learn flexray.

And i have verified with voltímetro, 12v and found is ok, FLEXRAY from steering to FEM is ok.
it just replaced the FEM because it didn't start the flexray and didn't see either DME or EPS, now I see DME but not EPS.

Have You really checked twisted pair short circuit and conductivity or not? Or only think, that modules replacement resolve probably wiring problems?
