Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - Bossweb - 01-11-2023 Hi Guys! Can someone confirm to me what exact software version of an A7 instrument panel these 2 references correspond to? 4G0906961N 4G0906961P I am looking for a version 305 software update for an instrument panel in my car, Audi A7 (2015) 4G8920934H HW: H10 SW:0225 As far as I have been able to find out, the following references correspond to these versions: 4G0906961L - SW 225 4G0906961M - SW 233 Could someone clear my doubts? I have asked 2 official Audi dealerships, and they have not been able to tell me this information Thanks!!! RE: Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - pupu144 - 02-11-2023 4G0906961N, 4G0906961P - no such media on Audi MMI flashdaten servers. Update 0305 is for ODIS - FL_4G8920_10_APP__0305_S.frf It will take A LOT of time, so better be prepared. 4G0906961L - SW 225 - correct 4G0906961M - SW 233 - correct If you need any of these files (besides the first you've mentioned) - you can contact me via PM. I recently updated to version 225 from 106, but I did it using an SD Card I have searched the internet for version 305 in SD Card update format, but I have not found anything Now, I wanted to do the same with the 305, but although I have seen webs that sell the references 4G0906961N / 4G0906961P, none of them have been able to confirm which of the 2 could correspond to the 305 Through ODIS, I understand and people have recommended me not to do it because it takes a long time and there is more risk of failure in the update @pupu144, can you confirm or tell me if Audi currently does not sell the update in SD format? RE: Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - pupu144 - 02-11-2023 I do not know if it can be bought as physical SD card update from a dealer. All I'm saying is that all other SD card media updates are available as .ZIP files on servers to be later created via "SD card media update creator" (so dealers don't have to place orders each time and hoard hundreds of SD cards for different updates for different vehicles). N and P are not available on such media server, and there are no records of them. Also there is no info on any .ZIP updates to 0305. So, as far as I can tell, the only way to 0305 is to update via ODIS. Other than that, you can still try to update to 0233 via SD, if you have some unresolved issues. Some other forum member may give you additional info on N/P SD cards.. When I bought the car, the SW version of the instrument panel was 104 After suffering problems with sporadic restarts, I discovered that some units in the A6/A7 instrument panel have a BUG that causes these resets At the dealership (2 years ago) they updated me to version 106, which was supposed to solve it (information from 2016), but randomly, it did it to me again A couple of weeks ago, I updated the SD to version 225, and so far everything is perfect So I have no obligation to upgrade but I wouldn't mind upgrading to the 305, in case I had any improvements in the functions of the instrument panel. RE: Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - pupu144 - 02-11-2023 Some errors (reboots, for example) can be triggered by your MMI unit. Your cluster and headunit are interconnected via MOST bus. It's actually mostly MMI that is sending most of the data to your cluster. If firmware is buggy or have some incompatibility issues with cluster - it will hang or reboot. So it is worth checking if your unit have the latest firmware too, just in case. Thanks for the info Mate Yes, about 3 years ago, I patched my unit to enable CP/AA and updated my unit to the latest version, MHI2_ER_AU57X_K3663 Because, as you say, if the only option to update to SW 305 is through ODIS (I don't have the interface), I will stick with this SW 225 to check if the restarts (very sporadic) have ended up being solved RE: Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - Bossweb - 02-11-2023 By the way, one more doubt I have a friend with an Audi A7 (2015) and in his case, the reference of his instrument panel is different from mine (unlike my car, his car has night vision and HeadUp Display) @pupu144, do you have a link where I can download the SW 233 version? According to OBDEleven, it is the latest version available for your unit 17 RE: Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - pupu144 - 02-11-2023 Sure, I've sent you a PM with link RE: Reference Update SW 305 Cluster Instruments (A6/A7) - Bossweb - 02-11-2023 (02-11-2023, 18:22 PM)pupu144 Wrote: Sure, I've sent you a PM with link Thank you very much for the link Mate! I have sent it to my friend to update his "VC" to 233. Surely, next Tuesday he will update it I'll let you know when the update is finished @pupu144, again, thank you very much for the information and SW 233 |
