MIB1 Screen FRF/ODX flash needed (cold weather issue) - spooky75 - 07-11-2023

Hello,

I'm looking for SW 0032 for MIB1 display 5G0919606, if someone be kind and share it ?

On cold weather touchscreen freezes and it's not responsible until temp. rise in car and then start to working normally.
Radio working normally whole time and can be controlled via steering controls and radio buttons.

I found on few forums at this is very common issue on early production units and in some cases can be fixed by flashing newer version of SW which fix touch sensitivity.

Before I change screen, I would like to test SW update first.

Is there a separate flash for displays at all..?
I though it got updated all together with the main headunit (MIB) fw update.

I may be wrong on this one, of course..
What is the full train name of your MIB unit? At least I can check the contents of an update file to see if the screen fw is really there.

There are no sgo/odx/frf or other separate flash files for display.
Display is always updated during MIB update, it's included in most of the update packages.

5G0919606 is a display for MIB1 Discover Pro, I checked updates 0200, 0388, 0407 I have for MIB1 Discover Pro and all of them contain updates for display - in this case these are in DUV101 / DUV201 folders.

Yes, in car was originally MIB1 Discover Pro with 0407.
This summer I have replaced main unit with MIB2.5 Discover Media (MST2_EU_VW_P0879D), but prior to installation in the car I was update unit on the bench, so display update remain from 0407 (MIB1) eg displayversion 0031.

-------------------
Update1:
Updated display to 0032 with selecting flash of only "DUV101" from MST2_EU_VW_P0635D_MU0757 (MIB2).
Will check in the morning if this will work.

Note: I used this flash because is the latest version of MIB2 flash for my unit.
MIB2.5 uses new type of displays/screens (glas) and flash for them does not contain flash files for old MIB1/MIB2 types of screen

-------------------
Update2:
Tested display day after and everything looks OK, no more issues with touchscreen sensitivity on cold weather. I will test it few more days for final verdict.

-------------------
Update3:
Tested display few times.
Unfortunately, in one occasion symptom is back but in much lower intensity.
I could press options on display without any issue, which was not possible before.
So upgrade to 0032 did help and minimize symptoms, but didn't solve problem completely.

Last update:

Software update did fix problem with touchscreen sensitivity on cold weather.
Ghost touches on screen after software update was related to dirty screen, after clean up with microfiber everything works as should.
