E90 comfort access retrofit coding - Comfort Entry not working - smass - 14-12-2023
I have mostly completed a CA retrofit in my 2010 335i. Comfort start works fine but I can't get comfort entry/exit to work. The door handle lock/unlock and the trunk unlock does not work. When I touch the door handle with a CA key close by, the car makes its clicking/whirring noises and "wakes up" but that is it. Touching the handle without a CA key does nothing. There are no codes. All the wiring has been tested end to end. The handles and CA module have been swapped with spares. All modules are flashed to the latest daten files. Is there anything else to check in the coding?
This retrofit was done with a cloned CA key. This was because a cloned non CA key had already been made in the past so a factory BMW key was not a guaranteed option. The cloner left the next factory spot open so in theory a factory BMW CA key might work.
Key 1 original BMW non CA key
Key 2 lost and replaced with new cloned CA key
Key 3 open and never used
Key 4 Cloned non CA key
