Audi Cluster - BOSCH 0263626045 RB4 - arturjfonseca - 16-02-2024

Hi everyone.

I've got an Audi RB4 cluster that is not working properly, and only shows a few lights.

I need to swap this cluster, but I can´t read this cluster by obd, to retrieve all the info needed for the donor cluster (mileage, soft coding, pin/skc, etc), as the k-line (pin23 green connector) doesn't seem to work... Tried with VCDS and VAG K-Can Commander...

I have Carprog / Upa-USB / TL866 Plus, and I belive I can read eeprom,  but I'm not sure how to get the soft coding info. And how can I set the keys info to the new cluster, as I don't have the car with me. Only the 2 clusters.

Any ideas on how can I solve this?

Best regards.
Artur

In that case you can do nothing...

Swapping eeprom chip's directly is not possible?

99% no (post both part numbers)

had same issue with my rb4/rb8 cluster.
just a few lights were on, display and immo dead.
connect cluster on bench, try to measure 5v voltage (for instance at the eeprom).

If there's nothing, supply is missing:
as i remember on the left side (powersupply) there should be two voltage regulators as step down, first should give output about 8V and after the second there should be 5V ... one of them will be dead.

I used one from donor board, first only to get needed data, in fact i didn't change it, because it worked until the end.

somewhere i should have a picture from that.
found and attached (white circle), hope it will help.

Thanks for the help.

Going to try now.

Tried and nothing!

No k-line comms… which means I can’t extract pin…

I’ve managed to read eeprom, and got VIN and IMMO ID from it.

Anyone knows, if there is any software that can read IMMO Pin from encrypted bin?

Why don't you read the PIN from the ECU?

That was the solution for this.

Thanks.
