BMW 2020 G20 6U3 retrofit from 6U2 - anstr - 27-09-2024
Hi,
I've retrofitted 6U3 Dkombi4 in G20 (all VIN, ncd's ,svt and fa attached in txt).
Donor kombi HWEL is in line with what TAL expcets for this G20 after FA update with 6U3. Only thing that is shown as to be exchanged is MGU MID to MGU High. So I proceded with further steps, that is:
- I've modifed FA for 6U3 for coding
- Coded relevant modules
- Validated ECU bindings
- Removed some options via fdl that car doesnt have, like HUD
After that everything works just fine, except driving modes selection. Meaning when I browse thru them kombi is not changing layout or color scheme - I'm showing that in video (attached).
I've played around with FAHRMODUS options in FDL but nothing seem to fїж this.
Is anyone offering paid solution/support here f or simply MGU needs to be replaced as well ?

where did you FDL code the missing settings?
you can enable drive modes by fdl coding in HU_MGU which then will be enabled in KOMBI
how exactly was your retrofit process? you changed vin & mileage in kombi?
do you have real cvn coding validation certificates for kombi & hu? -> if this is not done correctly, HU will not communicate with KOMBI, therefor there will be no options available such as drivemode etc...

Thanks for the hint! I fdl kombi and MGU.I've played around with FES and now color modes are reflected per driving mode. But comfort remains grayed out, not sure if car needs to be driven for some time. If it comes for me, I'm satisifed with result

hello guys i am begginer, i managed to virginize cluster for 2022 G01 fully digital one vin is ff and decriased mileage, when i coded BC botton is not working what should i do?

Have same Problem. BC Button not working. Validation also not success. Problem is, they have retrofit only Kombi and Hu, atm is old one from car self.

Just had this problem! If bc button is not working/ drive modes. Perform secure Ethernet test plan in i5тд or tool32!
