VW Caddy 2012 Dashboard Issue - endobesniq - 04-10-2024
Hi all. I have a issue my Instrument cluster was bad and I bought a used one to change it. I remove the old one and read the Eeprom 24C64 with Xtool x100pro2 and then try to flash the eeprom of new dash but after instalation it show on Dash "Error" and looks like there is no immo data because the car starts and immediately cuts off. I also try to copy eeprom with CH341 it read the chip and then program it but same issue.I also have Launch X431 and VCDS but dont know what to do. Im new to this stuff and just trying to repair my car. Thanks in advance.
Ive attach the .bin from the eeprom if that will help.

Its VDO instrument cluster with eeprom 24C64. Im not sure if you asking for that

Read immo block from old cluster, not eeprom. Simple swap can't be done because each cluster have other key to secure area with mileage and immo

HI. I read the eeprom 24c64 from the old cluster then ive tried to flash the dump to the eeprom on the new cluster ive tried with xtool x100pro2 the cluster show the error message, then ive tried to flash using CH341 but still didnt work.

You have to read immo from cluster, not whole EEPROM and write it to "new" cluster. All with tool which read/write immo: VVDI2, SMOK, VAG TACHO, Carprog.

Just one last question if you know. Do the cheap Ali express clones do the job or i need a proper tool? Thanks.

Hi have simillar problem i want to upgrade cluster in my caddy with temperature one , i have read m24c32 form bith of them , changed mileage and coppied other stuff but still have SAFE on the cluster Immo active , can someone help and check eeproms , attached ory and modified one many thanks
