BMW F11 CAS4 problem - Czozen - 14-09-2015
Hi,
i have a problem with (i think so) CAS4 (5WK50520GBR) from BMW F11 2012 535d.
Problem look like this:
If CAS4 is connected to the car, ignition turns on WITHOUT key inside a car instantly.
There is no information about that you have to have key to start the car.
If you push brake and start button car starts without any trouble and you can drive about 1min (without key!). After that engine and ignition turns off for 3 seconds and ignition turns on again!
Key do not work. I can't close car, or open, or use "comfort opening/closing window"...
One more thing. If i manualy turn ignition off (press start button without brake) ignition turns on again itself in about 30 seconds...
Rheingold can't connect to CAS (no response from control unit).
Does anyone have an idea how to ressurect this CAS4?

Your car is in FailSave mode (it works just to get you on towtruck)
check fuse(s), try other scanning device, check before car goes to sleep, check once car is in sleep mode, if still can not get connection, replace CAS

Rheingold says that car is in "Transport Mode" but i can not delete it.

Have used it. I have told. I can NOT delete it! There was an error durning procedure.
BTW. i have bought new CAS4 from BMW A.G. for 170euro. Everything works fine now.
