Skoda octavia 1.6tdi CAYC start and dies
Hi,
I have a skoda octavia with 1.6tdi cayc engine from 2011 that i would like some advise, i was on highway and car just shutdown and then start and wont rev and dies and does a lot off white smoke and smells to unburned diesel, there are no dtc, so it must be a mecanical failure. I have check fuel raill pressure and it starts it goes arround 500bar for few instants and then engine dies...i am only think about injectors, but there is no dtc... any advise please |

RE: Skoda octavia 1.6tdi CAYC start and dies
Hello,
Sometimes everything related as good by the ECU in case of mechanical failure. Do you know the ECU (Simos PCR2.1?) modifed before? EGR - DPF or something? If yes than advised to save the flash and eeprom than you need to find ori soft or update it with VCP or ODIS. Check if the throttles are not stuck in the closed position, I had such a case recently.

Check the injector bracket holder, my neighbor got this last year. One holder fits two injectors, one screw broke a part and two injectors slip out off the cylinder head. So check this out.
