heated steering wheel Skoda Scala
Hi,
Please help me. I want to replace the steering wheel in my Skoda Scala with a heated one. Which clock spring will work with the heated steering wheel? Are there any ready-made cables, for example, on Aliexpress, that I can buy to connect the heater? Thanks in advance for your help. I'm including my VIN just in case. TMBEG6NW8M3045743 |

RE: heated steering wheel Skoda Scala
Thank you. I found a similar thread on Briskoda, but it had a completely different number listed that doesn't appear in ETKA.
Could it also have a B at the end? |

RE: heated steering wheel Skoda Scala
If your steering column control unit is already running via LIN, then 5Q1 or still via CAN, then 5Q0

RE: heated steering wheel Skoda Scala
Thanks, I'm not stupid. But 5q0 is a different adapter than 5q1.

RE: heated steering wheel Skoda Scala
5Q0 is Valeo and 5Q1 is Kostal - or vice versa.
I would suggest removing the top cover of steering column and check the part number. If you currently have 5Q0, go with corresponding 5Q0 module; if 5Q1 the go with 5Q1 and it will work. When buying an used part watch out for the source - clock spring from VW won't work because VW's have CC/ACC controls as steering wheel buttons and Skoda's have CC/ACC controls on a separate stalk. Even when you code it properly, it will still give errors and CC/ACC won't work. It's not necessary to use a ready made wiring, it's enough to connect new +12V wire to fuse box and repin the original clockspring connector. |
