Hi,

I am good in BMW software but than original, i am totally new on chipping and not want make it really big, just for own cars and maby some friends.

I buy clone FGTECH V54 an read out my flash, but can someone tell how i can modify and write it back to the car? i read it by OBD port, or do i need the ecu take out ofd the car?

your file is good but edc17 only write in boot mode, otherwise the car not start after writing. not all edc17 but most of them.

Some edc17 can write in obd without problema (depends software versions), ive write bmw 316D-318D-320D year 2009, but with original interfaces CMDflash, FGtech, X17,etc.

I also think this one runs obd, but i am affraid to do that because i am new in this and not want to buy other ecu

If u have a modified flash file U can write it directly by Gal v54. This tool covers EDC17cp02/C06 red and write. Dont count checksum after file modification. Tool should count itself. If not gives u order to revrite original file.
