Hi,

i have a car in my shop with engine damage. car was stock when i sold it but now it has engine damage. everything points to high revs.

i have read the ecu in boot mode and compared it with a simple hex editor and i see a lot of changes, but i can't tell what the changes are.

Both virtual read and actual read are in the attachments.

Car is a 2011 Audi RS5 4.2 V8 FSI MED 17.1.1

how bad was the damage, just curious, cheers

valve hit the piston and made a way through the piston. timing chain was ok. i suspect floating valves or maybe a loose valve seat (maybe due to high temperature)

Hmmm looks expensive... if the car was mapped by someone after you sold it they cannot blame you.
