Hello guys,

I have a quick question since this is not my area. I am trying to help out a friend of mine with his Opel Vectra C 2002 Z18XE 122hp equipped with Simtec 71.5. He lost his transponders when he wanted to change the key battery. We could not find it so he ordered two new key sets with blank ID40 transponders. I did some research but I am stuck with some questions.

1. I have Op-Com, is it possible to code a new transponder to this car with Op-Com? 
   
2. I also need to retrive the security code, is this possible from the ECU when I read it in full with for example with Kess or I/O Terminal? (I can get security code from the main dealer if this is not possible since I do not have carprog)
   
3. Is the ID40 transponder correct? Because I read different topics about different transponder chips.

It its same as c2004 you can obtain pincode from cluster by opcom
or fvdi will read from ecu
Yes mostly it use id 40
in opcom choose instrument read dash km and pin will display
opcom also should program new keys

Thanks for your reply, I will try to adapt it to the car then, everything is ready but I was unsure about the transponder. Some say it is ID40 and some say ID46 but when I look up for ID46 I see this one is only usable for Mitshubishi. 

And about the security pin, i have Op-Com clone with firmware 1.95 and from what I read is that only firmware 1.3x can read security code.

I will try it on saturday to see what happens and keep this topic updated.

If it is Corsa C, then there should be regular 7935 transponder (ID40, I think). The Pin code can be read from the cluster with proper tools. Op-com should be able to program the key if you have the correct pin.

Vectra C ID46 PCF7936 or use an Xhorse VVDI XT27 and generate with VVDI Mini key tool.
Suppose Opcom can only read the security code for Corsa C Meriva and Tigra B, choose Body, Instrument and eeprom info.

You can read the PIN code from the motor controller using SW OPCOM 110530a ADVANCED or 161001a ADVANCED (from FANTOMEL). The condition is that you have an Opcom with a real PIC 18F458.

-Opel Corsa 2009 1,4 XE or XEP

I have this one Op-Com
The one I bought is V1.95 200603A V2021

As far as I can remember there was a review that someone could reflash chip with the one from Fantomel. 

But I think I have enough information. I will thank you guys for all the info. When I search for ID46 I will get a board with chip insie, a flip key.

The current keys have a seperate place to hold the chip so it must be ID40. I will try to relearn the key and ask the owner of the car to buy the pincode since it is 30 euro's. 

I normally do not do these type of jobs so I will keep the Op-Com as it is without flashing the chip inside and I will code the keys. When I have issues or when I complete the job I will update this post.
