Hello all,


Has anyone experience with Scanmatik 2 pro together with OFFICIAL ISTA/P downloaded from AOS? When I try to create a new session, I get an error that no server can be found. 
When using ISTA/D everything works fine.

Before starting ISTA/P session - run C:\Program Files (x86)\BMW AG\PassThruD\IfhSrv32  and that should solve your problem.

Your solution did not help unfortunately. I was able to bypass the error by using an Ethernet cable. The screen after that it searches for a device by showing the IP address. I guess this can only be done using an ICOM, because the scanmatik doesn't support this feature.

The problem solved myself.
If you want using J2534 device, following this steps.
1. Run BMW PassthruD in Administrator(Important!!!)
2. Choose the J2534 device you want and save it
3. Open your file explorer
4. Move to C:\EDIABAS\BIN (default)
5.Open EDIABAS.INI in notepad
6. Edit configuration interface = STD: passthruD (default STD:OBD maybe..) and save it!
7. Launch ISTA/D and move to Configuration -> Interface
8. Select EDIABAS.INI and apply it. Do not select "Passthru"
9. That's all. Enjoy

May I ask which version of Ista-P you tried this with?

Standalone ISTA-P will not work with J2534, because Loader emulates only ICOM/ENET (I guess to prevent dumb people from making dumb mistakes, like flashing devices on MOST bus via OBD port).

If you have paid access to BMW AOS portal - that version should work fine with J2534 device.

Hi i have used ista p programming in past with j2543 passthru bosch gm mdi 2 , 2019 version ista
