XZBMW  MSV80. Swap N52B25 to N52B30
Hi. Tell me, please, when swapping the engine for BMW 325i N52B25 for the engine N52B30 330i. If DME MSV80 is installed, do I need to flash it? Or is there already a maximum power class? Do I need to do something with the DME ECU? Thanks

You'll need to reset the working hours in the DME and then change the TYPE code in your vehicle order to the correct version that came with N52B30 and correct transmission too. and then you can load up ISTA/p and calculate measures to program the DME with the correct program and then code it.

Working hours in the DME are reset if the power class is changed, isn't it? Or do they need to be reset anyway, even if the power class is already the maximum?

The DME can delete the working hours only with special tool!

In the CAS must be read the eeprom (also with spec device) and put in this forum, someone rewrite the powerclass!
Then you have 10 hours to change the SW in the DME!

you'll need a tool to read the eeprom. when your DME has more than 10 hours the power class can not be changed through coding. so after resetting working hours and programming the correct DME software, you'll need to recode the DME and then match it to the CAS.

Thank you. It's strange, many people say that the e92 218hp MSV80 already has the maximum power class in CAS (high) and you just need to encode and that's it.
