BMW MOVE Map Code (CiC)
Hi All,
Apologies for my ignorance but I have been trying to download my 1b.hex file from my CiC unit to generate an FSC code for a map update but nothing I do seems to pull the 1b file.

Can some wonderful person please be good nough to generate me a lifetime map code for:

BMW Europe East/West MOVE 2023
VIN:  T039709

Then I can stop pulling my hair out and my wife will stop telling me off (it's her car).

Thanks guys

MOVE map is on CHAMP2 and not on CIC. you don t have a CIC, that is why it s not working. just buy a 10 eur code and move on

why all this trouble for nothing?

It's on a Mini which is using the MOVE maps.

It's "trouble for nothing" as eventually I want to be able to do it myself instead of relying on other people (some less sympathetic than others!) - I can then maybe start to give back to people.

If you can't or won't help, then just move on huh?

But you YOURSELF have NOT provided any useable info... HOW were you "have been trying to download my 1b.hex"???

P.S. Sounds like one of "put file onto stick and it will make 1b.hex methods". Then you GOT your ANSWER - AFAIR this WON'T work on champ2.

I have been using a FAT32 formatted USB stick with the 1B Zip file extracted to the roort (1B Zip is used to extract the .hex file from the head unit).
Ignition on, wait for nav to fully load, plug usb into port in glovebox, wait 30 seconds, remove and check if the 1b.hex file has been created so that I can use the CiC code generator.

I cannot get the .hex file despite trying 5 different USB sticks.

But then dumitru.o ALREADY told you that you do NOT have CIC. Therefore that stick method will NOT work.

That's a lot more help than the first reply I got on this thread - Thank you

If it can't be done then I will look to buy the code.

Now I know and today I have learnt something.
