Every body want the easy way just push a button and all done.
for psa car you should always put the car on good charger because the bsi go to sleep.
your bsi is in boot mode(not dead) you dont need another one.
the flash that you download is ok you just need to "wake"the bsi
listen what "volavka" and will be ok

i made that with se i d car and cabless

Have you fixed this bsi yet?
if not do what you was told to do
put bsi back on car
connect good supply to battery terminals
connect fvdi to diagnostic port
turn ignition to position 2 (where you would normally see dashboard lights)
then redo the read/km change
this should then rewake the bsi from sleep mode
