I have just bought a VAS 6154, but it is missing some components from the package. This is what I have:

VAS 6154/1 - Interface Module
VAS 6154/2 - Docking Station
VAS 6154/3 - USB Y Lead

I will need to buy either:

VAS 6154/4 - USB Module and VAS 5055/4 USB Adapter cable
or
VAS 6154/5 - WLAN Module
or
VAS 6154/7 - LAN Module

My question is what module should I buy? I will only use the tester occasionally, so I do not mind the inconvenience of cables, but I would like to buy only one module which will do everything. The WLAN module would be nice, but can you flash control units with it?

OK. I found that you don't need an additional module to connect the VAS6154 to the car and computer. I just connected a standard cable to the mini-USB port on the VAS, and after configuring ODIS to use the 6154 it connected to the car without a problem.

It did seem fairly slow communicating - only about the same speed as a 5054A. Does anyone know if the 6154/4 USB module improves the transmission speed? Being USB3, I have a feeling it would do, but it is a lot of money to spend if there is no real improvement.

5054A will be not supported any more after 2019 i believe so you going to need it....
