BMW iDrive USB Coding
I know that some people offer USB coding for iDrive where you bit a .bin file on a USB stick and do the coding that way.

How do I generate the .bin files to do this? Is there a tool available or do I need to manually script it?

Tools available, yes; but, they are not for free.
HU Engineering Tools does it.
