AdBlue removal on A 642 900 00 01/0 291 019 932
It is always awkward to make a newbie post, but one must start somewhere, so here it is
I generally do no do any chip tuning or ECU tuning. I know how to read Mercedes ECUs on the bench, but did not write the tune. There has been an increased interested due to the heaters being damaged multiple times on the same vehicle on in this example a 2012 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a 3.0 engine and EDC17-CP46. To provide this service, I know I would need a quality reader and writer. I have a few questions to hopefully guide me in the right direction: 1) Are all of these modern Bosch, Delphi, etc., ECU read on the bench or on boot mode, or can they be read over OBD2? 2) In regards to removing the AdBlue code from the unit, must this be done manually by hand, or are automated programs common for this function that can read the bin file and detect the AdBlue binaries and remove them? Is there anything else that needs to be looked at or addressed, or is it simply reading the ECU, allow software to remove AdBlue, and write the code back to the ECU and finished? Any additional pointers or requirements would be much appreciated, as well as recommendations of the readers that work good to perform this work. Thank you! |

did a lots of those and my advice...
1. get first ori tool to read them in bdm mode (sprinters 2009 and up cant be done in obd) 2. be very careful when you opening them 3. solutions are mostly manual better send ecu to some tuner in your area. |
