Haven't flashed in a while - recently did an SVT calculation with E-Sys 3.33 and F10_18_07_530 SDP. Strangely, I have a ist/soll SVT difference for all ECUs per screenshot below. Never seen this one before. That's not something which gets in the TAL, rather some sort of ECU flag. Any ideas what 'Identity Check' means / implies? There's all 'ECU contained in SVTsoll', but this one at least makes some sense. Thanks.

It’s for the new certificate checks that they include for the new g series cars I guess. When replacing units like kombi. HU or tcb you need to apply certificate from bmw to make them work again. It’s anti tampering

Thanks, but:

1) This is an F10 chassis, not G
2) It's the same for all ECUs (and they are all original in my case) not only KOMBI, etc.

At any rate, I think it's something new - did someone flash recently who noticed the same thing with e-Sys (3.33)...? In TAL Calculation the difference is indicated by blue/red on top level, but the details are only visible when one compares the SVTs in VCM.

I know its an F10, im not blind. Im just saying that the changes are probably incorporated anyway.

OK, to update: Flashed OK, recalculated SVTs, same thing. So it seems like it's not anything written in the vehicle, but some sort of an ECU safety/identity check before SVT soll gets written to VCM.
