Wondering if you can help, An old boy i work with has given me an ecu from his 1.8t golf mk4 as he cant start it The immo is playing up and i need to turn it off, Its been sat there 2 years and hes retiring soon so just wants to get it running, He thinks im a magician as i reflashed my Audi with a cheap galletto, I really want to hep but i think i may be out of my depth unless somebody can help me ? I hae just the ECU here and a Pc power supply

Its easy enough to do, it can be done with a dumb kkl cable and dos based s/w from another site, whose name evades my memory at this time, or with a simple eeprom programmer.

I forgot to add in my post i have an MPPS V13 and a Galletto 1260 can i do it with these?

Just desolder the EEPROM, read it with an programmer and post dump here.

Otherwise you have DashCAN, you can do the job with OBD
