BMW F80 battery coding
Hello friends,
Is there any chance to register a standard AGM battery on a BMW M3 F80, instead of the Li-Ion, factory fitted, one? The battery was replaced with a AGM one, and now ISTA/D shows "Battery module missing". I know that the Li-Ion battery doesn't need a IBS sensor, as the electronics are included in the battery itself. My question is...is it possible to install a IBS sensor, and register a AGM battery? Thank you. |

RE: BMW F80 battery coding
I can't tell you about BMW battery coding. I bought a new battery 6 months ago, as the OEM is 9 years old.
I checked the original coding to see what is said using VCDS. I couldn't find anything listed. It shows the battery number which you use for coding. There is no useful number on the battery. OEM Banner BA2 61Ah 330A DIN 540A CCA. The OEM Banner BA2 shows at 3:45 The new battery EXTW067TE Exide Premium with Carbon Boost EA770 77Ah 760 CCA Forums don't link you posting links to other forums but this link is useful. |
