Since yesterday I get the message Hardlock not found with an existing installation. Even with a new installation, the same message comes back. Anyone have an idea how to fix the error?

I get this all the time with 8.5, have to reinstall without the updates.

If you get a hardlock error (hardlock error 7 or 14) please make sure that Visual C++ 2010 x86 and Visual C++ 2015 x86 are installed.

If you continue to get a hardlock error after installing Visual C++, please check whether the etinfo.dll is present. You can find these under

C:\Program Files (x86)\Digital Eliteboard\PETKA\Program\8.5\PROG1

If the etinfo.dll is missing, I can provide it to you
Next you should add the etinfo.dll as an exception in your virus scanner.

If, after using PETKA 8.5 for a while, you get a hardlock error, Hardlock not found, your hardware ID may have changed and you need a new key.
In order for the activation window with the hardware ID to appear as when starting PETKA 8.5, you must delete the etkaconf.ini file. You can find these under

C:\Program Files\Digital Eliteboard\PETKA\Program\8.5\PROG1

If you continue to get hardlock errors, please check that the old ETKA/PETKA versions have been completely removed.

Please remember that PETKA 8.5 cannot be used in a VM.

I'm using PETKA for a long time on Win10/11 x64 and always without a problem.

maybe petka 8.6 patch needs to be applied? it is required to be able update petka for latest database and prices.

The patch has been applied for a long time and has nothing to do with the Hardlock not found message
