Hi Friends,

I have a RNSE-PU 193G Sat nav unit.
It will not accept the original pin code.
I think that someone has installed a new dvd drive to the unit.
I have done some research and i think on the later 193G units the motherboard and dvd drive are coded together.
Can anyone offer a solution, i do not have the original drive?

No, chance if dvd drive has been changed. you need original dvd drive pcb.

Maybe stupid idea, but - if you plug off dvd drive, and take radio back into car, it will ask for PIN? DVD drive is not needed for radio working - must working (AM/FM, or music from SD cards) without DVD drive like radio player. I saw somewhere (not remember where, maybe on GPSu, but Google may answer...) some ISO file with special firmware tool for RNS-E, which can after firmware update show PIN. Dont know, if this can help exactly with your problem with new DVD drive, but first you can try if will ask for PIN without DVD drive (if radio is factory, then will not ask for PIN...), and if not, then you can search and load this "special" firmware - maybe can help.
