[Audi A8 D2] Gearbox ECU Replacement
Dear all,
I have two questions according to this car: Audi A8 D2, MJ '02 2.5TDI 180hp (AKE) FWD + Automatic Transmission 1) The gearbox ECU is broken due to water ingress... now I have to replace it with a "new" one. The problem is that this ECU is very rare on the market and I really don't want to buy a new one. Part No. VW: 4D0 927 156 ED Part No. Bosch: 0 260 002 802 Is it possible to replace this one with an ECU with other final characters? And maybe flash it with the original software? 2) The engine won't start anymore. In other boards I've read that both errors are independent ones, means that the engine should start even with a broken gearbox ECU. Surely I've checked all fuses and relays, also the well-known distibutor of electricity on the right front wheel side. The starter motor has permanent electric current, the ground wire is okay. When I turn the key, there is no power on the ignition cable of the starter motor. To keep things short: Does anyone have a repair guide and/or wiring diagram for that car? Greetz and thanks in advance, Daniel |

Turn kl 15 relay on manually and check faults...dont know about a8 but a6 and passat b5 starts without gb ecu... and drive))) last letters in partnumber means car hardware.

RE: [Audi A8 D2] Gearbox ECU Replacement
Thanks for your reply!
I manually bypassed the KL15 relay and now there is power on the ignition cable of the starter motor. The engine does not start yet, surely because of faulty injectors. How can A6 and B5 drive without GB ECU? Are you sure? Is it then always in the first gear? This would namely already be enough to drive the car into the hall, so I would change the faulty injectors outside. The GB ECU is actually at the repair station and will hopefully return soon. |
