The purpose is to buy a VCP a VAS5054a, VCDs etc a constant voltage battery charger, download different programs, buy soldering rework tools chips, capacitors, etc to fix vas5054a.
Then read TPIs (service bulletins) in order to find out what firmware updates you need. Then you can read how to flash and the safety procedures you need to take. Do a VCDs control unit scan, and compare this with the TPIs and the flash disc and try to decide what updates you need even though some firmware updates are not easily distinguished and you need someone to help in this case. Then you are ready to use the flash files. If you like my post press

Erwin or Elsa. You will find 70-80%. Then for some updates (from later MY but still compatible) there is the German forum and advanced users / experience and of course this forum (20-30%).

You need 1hr or 3 hours of subscription.
Get your vin ready You need to use IE and install a utility. Read their instructions. You can also check elsa (difficult to install and configure) but database until 2/2016. If you like my post press
