2005 Prius Bricked ECM
Hello, Everybody:
Two days ago I was trying to run a calibration update in the above PRIUS, and the calibration failed rendering the ECM bricked. This was the arrangement: 2005 Prius with smart key Laptop running Windows 7 VX Manager latest version VCX-Nano Wifi Connection: USB Techstream 12.00.127 LV Battery: New, at 13.3V all the times End result: Calibration failed, new DTC's P3000 U0100 >> Lost communication with CAN BUS The Calibration Update Wizard flags the calibration went wrong, however when attempting to flash recovery to old CID 34705200, it fails giving the message that there is not communication to OBDII VIM. I tried: 1. Several times recovery. Same result 2. Disconnected all batteries, 12V LV & HV. Waited 12 Hrs 3. Reconnected all again, attempted to flash recovery. Same result 4. The dashboard seems like a Xmas tree, all lights are lit. 5. The vehicle ICE does not start, the ready prompt does not appear. Apparently I bricked the ECM (part Nbr 89661-47100 I preserved the Recovery.ini file from the CUW /Save folder. Contains what it looks like binary info, probably what has to be flashed back to the ECM. What can I do at this point? Can I force a flash back to old calibration ID? (I don't think so as the ECM does not respond) Is there any way to reflash the ECM, via JTAG or something else? Is it possible to swap the ROM chip from another ECU? How can I reprogram another ECU to swap the bricked one? Is it any way to reflash the ECM off-car? Thank-you for any information you may be able to bring. |
