BMW E39 diesel webasto glow plug
Hello everyone,

maybe someone can help me out.

I have a 2002 BMW E39 webasto aux heater with a non working glow plug / burner. The insignia on the heater is Webasto Thremo Top Z/C.

Is it possible to replace only the glow plug? Where in Europe can I buy the parts?

I found this:
https://standheizung-ersatzteile.com/sta...t-tt-c-12v

.... but it says, that you cannot replace the glow plug on models before 2004 ??

Thanks

Yes, You can replace only glow plug, changed many of them. If You need used one for cheap, PM me. You can't buy new only glow plug, it's complete set with burner.

Are You sure the reason is glow plug . In this units most problem was with control unit not glow plug. Glow plug you may check with resistance meter.

What in particular do I need to look for on the circuit?

Corroded traces and socket pins (inside from the circuit board side, not outside). Generally, anything moisture related.
