I've been told that Tprot started from 09/2009 on VAG

But recently I readed something about that they only are active above SWxxxx500120

Is this info right? Or another way to figure it out...

And only if the vehicule didn't received any update at the service after 09/2009, or am I wrong...

The funny thing on it is also that I could read ID and flash a mod file on a VW Tiuguan from 2015 2.0tdi, I think it was a EDC17C46...My tool wasn't reworked yet neither..

So can I conclude that Tprot was removed before? Or just lucky...

Yes, u can read but your redout is useless... Do not try to write!

Read with Ktag, unlock and then u can play OBD

you're wrong with regards to edc17c46

that ecu is a write only by obd and he would have flashed a virtual read file so tprot didnt come into it

ive done many many vag when i first started out


but take edc17cp14, read and write, after 06/2009 then need unlock patch with ktag before writing by obd
