Hello

Im pretty new to ista.
Ive tried different installations of ista-d.
Many fail to install at all, some does tho.
However i get an error when launching istagui.
"Failed to start Ista, make sure your installation is valid"
Ive got all the netframeworks, and registry add's.
What am i missing?
Any thoughts?

You can try to check log files in Rheingold directory.

C:\Rheingold\Logs

.Net Framework and Visual C++ Redistributable fix 99% of problems for ISTA.
RCleanerV4.4 is also very helpful.

Which version mate? And you need also java, netframework 4.6 or 4.7.2,redist all in one ,extract the sqlitedbs in the proper folder apply the reg fix and you are done.

Version is 4.16.22.
I have c++ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2017 redist installed, some severaltimes.
SQlitedbs extracted to folder sqlitedbs in rheingold.
do i need to do other than run the reg fix?
have also run the rcleaner.
Maby i just need to uninstall all netframeworks and redist, and try again.

However it seems as if i cant install .net framework prior to 4.7 hence windows has 4.7 preinstalled.
Seached the web for ways to remove it, but it looks like a dead end.
Any experience, or know of any version of ista that doesnt need 4.5 and 4.6?

Try Sedoy's release its a bit automated, the culprit could be the redist reinstall again.Also Spider's standalone release 4.15.32 works flawless without problems.And its also the last one that has basic features working corectly.
