Hi

i have to read an ecu from a Citroen c4 picasso with edc16c34, and 95160 eeprom,

ktag haven't any protocol with this eeprom, have only 95320 & 95640,  i read on programmer the eeprom,

and now i want to read the flash..

  - is this the correct adapter?
 
  - it is "safe" to read it OBD with kess (reworked)?  or MPPS euro clone(purple) v18 clone?

(i had read that kind of ecu with galletto (ford edc16c34) but now i have a new one, and i never test it via obd)

on this car, most likely with obd read/write you will lose the coding of the ecu.

with kess even clone no problem but you must

to read edc16c34 psa map:

-have good batterie in car
-follow the instructions of kess and after the writing finish you must wait for 3 min or more to start the engine again.

even if you lost injectors codes can be solved using diag tool.

if you need to read e2p you cant with obd only bdm or external programmer.

I was reading-writing same ECUs few times with KESS and KTAG without problems. KTAG can read eeprom too but file it maked fourfold larger than original. But you can edit it by-hand.
