Hi everyone! 

My FRM2 module failed recently due to various communication errors. I've picked up a replacement FRM2 module and coded this today and on the most part works ok. 

The car is a 2007 E92 335i and is fitted with adaptive Xenons. 

Previous FRM2 module was an 'AHL' module with ZUSB: 9166709 
New FRM2 module is an 'XE' module with ZUSB: 9166708 

Now whilst this does work, I  no longer have adaptive xenons and have an error on the dash. Here are my questions: 

1. Would it be possible to enable adaptive lights with this module with NCS Expert (I guess not as I assume that's why there are 2 different part numbers, one for XE and one for AHL)? 

2. If this isn't possible, is there actually any hardware difference between these 2 modules and if not is there a way to flash the 9166709 firmware to an 9166708 module?

I did quickly try this with WinKFP in comfort mode but this simply tells me the ZUSB is wrong and will not proceed.

Hardware is different. Just find frm ahl or max brose.
Max brose can be used in any configuration
