I once needed to do an clone ICOM-A reset, and after several attempts failed I found out the switch that needed to be pushed during ICOM-A booting time wasn't even soldered on the PC-Board, so after a few soldering work, the procedure of reset works as expected.

Maybe you can take a look about this ? since it's a clone , you can't expect very high quality in the first place.

Soldering seems to be fine.

However, if you press the button and turn on obd power, the green LED blinks and then the red LED blinks after 5 seconds.
Hmm, not sure it is normal. I remember if you keep pressing the switch constantly and turn on the power (OBD side), there will only be red light, and if you press the switch 3 times after that, the red light will keep flashing , later it'll start reading content from the USB and do the reset procedure.

please try this procedure again, you may get lucky .

Thanks to the photo attached by Ferrum, the icom reset was successful.

The icom connection was successful by establishing the IP address.

After firmware upgrade from 60080, ISTA connection was successful as Free, but
The control units cannot communicate with the diagnostic test.
Also, in IToolRadar, it is changed to Reserved by just performing a diagnostic test in free. The system light of icom blinks in red.
Are there any settings I'm missing?

Thanks to ferrum for his kind tutorial, I believe you'll have to change the serial No. of your ICOM.

I did a search to change the serial number, but there is not much information. Do I need to download the xprog program to change the serial number? Do I need to remove the solder on the board to set it up?

Oh No, 24C02 can be programmed by so many programmer, just find one with convenience, you don't need xprog, you just need to desolder the 24C02 and change the "1120134" to "1801201" of the hex file that you read, however you'll need to connect a fan to reset the fan error after.
All this information was all learnt from ferrum, Please show your appreciation to him if you find it's useful.

RE: How to reset ICOM made in China
The system lights up red and this indicates a malfunction, connecting a fan most likely will not correct this error. Changes to the serial number will not affect the malfunction. Even I have nothing to tell you, because remotely malfunctions are not diagnosed.

They brought me an ICOM for repair, which was not connected to the machines until 2009. The fault was in the 5v power controller, but after fixing this fault, I found many more faults.
