I have installed the AHM 3+ (4R 850497) replacing the westfalia one as I know you can code it to allow LED trailer lights.

It is in but when I load ISTA-P it only had an option to retrofit the 3AC option articulated trailer and nothing for the standard detachable.
Predictably is has throw it's toys out the pram as it can't find the electrics for the swivelling ball head.

Does anyone know what I can do? 
Even without it plugged in the option is there for the 3AC but nothing else?

Add +AHMU to VO using NCSExpert, and code car. If i remember correctly there is a conversion option for LED Trailer lights in ISTA/P when AHMU is in your VO.

As soon as I clicked to retrofit the articulating tow bar the LED trailer light option showed but I left it alone. I have now removed that with ISTA-P

I am no expert with any of this and had hoped ISTA-P had the option to do this

So I add +AHMU CAS and FRM and nothing else needs doing apart from coding the LED lights when I get around to replacing them on my trailer lights?

Yeah weird that it doesnt show detachable hitch.
That should do it yes. Just make sure to FA_WRITE in both CAS and FRM, and then code complete car. And then code the LED trailer conversion in ISTA/P afterwards.

My car hates me

I get this "following feature is invalid for FA: +AHMU" when I try to add it using ncsexpert following the tutorial here http://codinge90.com/ncs-expert-how-to-m...cle-order/

It's an E61 LCI if that helps?

Glad I did this as the Westfalia module complains about no fog light, I thought I would have to run the LED retrofit option on this module but it doesn't complain about the lack of fog light, very happy
