Night Vision Challenges
I have a 2013 750li that I purchased from an insurance auction. The car has night vision, but the camera is currently missing. It wasn't damaged in the accident, but it wasn't with the car either. I'm attempting to chase it down via the tech that did the repair estimate. Locating the original camera remains my top choice, but I'm also evaluating all my options for repair. I know the camera and module lock together permanently. I want to go as OEM as possible to allow future dealer programming etc. So my questions are:
1. The car has NIVI 2 and NBT. I have a line on a cheap new NIVI 3 camera, can I load my NIVI FSC into a used NIVI 3 module and pair with a new NIVI 3 camera? Can the NIVI 3 camera just work with my NIVI 2 module? 2. My backup plan is to get a used camera and module pair and use an emulator. Is programming or coding possible with an emulator in place? Is there a better option available? I'd perfer not to delete NIVI, but that remains a viable option. Thanks in advance. |

RE: Night Vision Challenges
I may just buy the new NIVI-3 camera and see what I can do.
