I am just trying to instal new maps and software to A6 2012, with MMI 3GP,
Everything goes nice and easy, K900 software, 6.22 maps are also in it.
But the activator doesnt work..
I calculate Xcode using Xcode calculator,
but all I can get after running activator in the car is:

"activation was not successful, was the ignition on?"

My engine was running...

Any idea?

OK I just solved it

if this happens, you have to turn on wlan in green menu and start the activation afterwards...

I had K0900 firmware running with couple of weeks ago , and I was just feeling lazy to do Maps 6.22.4 update.

today, I followed the instructions for the map update, deleted the database then the partition (Green menu) and started the update.

To start with my Standard update done only 3 very quick updates... I knew something was wrong since the update is done in 2 mins max.

I checked the USER DEFINED mode, and had another go... and manually selected all of sub-parameters under the audi_MMI3G_ECE ? ... the update started again and failed at Database - GDB:0 Error code 141.

obviously i skipped the unit and restarted... and nav stopped working !

Any help would be really appreciated ..... I have Audi A7 with MMI 3GP.

Yes, I can see exaclty like this snapshot.

I dont have bose sound system, but I believe that I have some sort of upgraded sound system ! Defintely not the Bose ...

Error is caused by corrupted map files.

Solution:

Re-download the map or re-uncompress it (for discard that map files was incorrectly downloaded)
Format SD in FAT32
Use Windows for copy the files (Mac or Linux can cause troubles).
Remove the Map (Nav) partition & data.
Use the "User Defined" mode for install it again.

It should work.

If not, buy/try another SD card (better a quality, class 10, card like Sandisk, Kingston...) not a chinese one.

I have one question regarding deleting the database/partition. It say wait 30 and reboot the system. To reboot the system I am using the three keys combination, is this the right way ?

I would like also to know what is the exact size for the map compressed file ?

Is it possible to update "HN+_EU_AU_P0065" to Firmware 900 and then install 6.22.4?
i have read its older hardware and not possible.

that update will kill your mmi , there is a way to update without "curraption detected" but not for free

The way is without open/remove mmi from car?
6.22.4 maps are possible then?

If you hit this error ("Activation failed, WAS the ignition switch on?" ) Activation.
Green wlan_settings be activated from the menu (hidden).
Hidden Menu in Navi MMI Plus (3G)
Using vague cable com:
[5F - Information Electr.]
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 6 -> Change 0 to 1

After activation should you enter engineering menu (press 5 seconds + CAR SETUP)
until you see the green menu

Darkdll, I can not thank you enough.... I followed your suggestion, and nav is working again (I was using a sandisk sdcard class 10 (FAT32 formatted by windows machine) but used MAC for copy !! and that seem to cause the issue...

new copy with the windows machine, deleted database/partition, and I didn't see the ? any more... it was straightaway Y so , kicked a standard update 90mins later all done...

Now, I've found out that Google Maps are not working anymore.. so I re-installed K900 firmware again which came with 3 components only to update GEMMI , MAPSTYLE and SSS ... first two updated , and SSS failed under Speech- tts_en_GB:0 Error code 138

I skipped that device, update completed Google maps are back but the voice guidance is not working any more !!! any suggestions please ??
