try this:

1. delete everything in istap folder except the main disk isss.vmdk.
2. extract the English snapshots and move them into the istap folder.
3. open isss.vmdk in hex editor and write down your disk CID code (may not be 24b38fdd). Close it.
4. change the snapshots parentcid codes if needed (change parent CID only)
5. open isss in VMware and start it using the snapshot for your interface (do not do a direct boot).

I tried the above procedure exactly. Changed all .vmdk files Parent CID's to the parent CID of isss.vmdk.
I then try to book and get the famous error:
"The parent virtual disk has been modified since the child was created. The content ID of the parent virtual disk does not match the corresponding parent content ID in the child

Cannot open the disk 'C:\Users\D and R Mobile\Desktop\ISTA-P\ISSS-000003.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

Module DiskEarly power on failed.

Failed to start the virtual machine."

I have a 3rd Gen Intel i7 CPU
My laptop is a HP Probook 4540s

Now when I change the 000003.vmdk back to original parent CID of extracted english snapshot I get the : "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
windows/system32/config/system"

No matter what it either gives me child disk error if i chang all parent CIDs or system corrupt message if I change all but 000003.

Also, with original snapshot files with torrent I can get to boot but with WMI connection failure shortly after windows xp splash screen.

Check that you are starting the snapshots correctly (right click istap tab > snapshots). There should be no boot and no windows xp splash screen. Snapshots should restore direct to istap main screen.

The biggest lie expertmod version !!!!!
After a real test not talk on the net, it seems that the famous version expertmode failed the test.
After deselecting an ecu need to do "determine action plan".
After this step ecu is back in the same condition as at first appointment.
Test with icom.

Check module doesn't have actions anymore = ok
After these steps as "Determine Measures plan", hence the error!!!!
Calculate the final plan and check it's correct = NOT CORRECT

Here's some English snapshots (created using my USB dongle). Also includes snapshot for OPS/OPPS.

How to use:

1. Create a folder called istap and extract the ista archive (from the torrent download I posted on page 1 of this thread) to that folder.
2. Create a folder called snapshots. Download the English snapshot files using the links in this post and extract the archive to the snapshots folder you just created (use 7-zip from www.7-zip.org).
3. Copy contents of snapshots folder into istap folder. Click yes to overwrite existing files when prompted.
4. Open the ista/p vm in VMware workstation and start it using the snapshot for your chosen interface (no dongle required).

Notes:

These snapshots replace the ones in the torrent download. Delete the ones in the torrent before using these ones.

Expert mode is already activated.

Hello, I used the original snapsots, i changed the CID as per instructions and I still get the error with the ID in the child.I cannot find the english snapshots anymore.Could you give me some advise?
