Hello. I installed ista d, all drivers, network tool. Installed network tool, changed network name to eth0, wrote ip 169.254,1,1 (tried 0.8 too) (name was local, not usb) Opened ista d, clicked on vehicle identification and I cannot see device in connection manager. Ip address is set correct, vci config is set on icom enet. Using enet.
I used faq for installing but no outcome. How to solve this problem? I installed ediabas but have not changed anything there. When I open ista d and try to read the car, I cannot choose the cable, I see blank connection manager.

For Enet-cable you must set vci to Ediabas in Ista+.


And in C:\ Ediabas --> bin --> EDIABAS.INI

Or choose enet direkt connection, easiest way for me.

For ENET one does not have to change Ediabas.ini, neither in Rheingold / Ediabas nor in C: / Ediabas ..

Thank you everybody. None of the above methods helped me. Still see empty connection manager.

Do you have any solution for error called: "Failed to start ISTA. Please make sure your ISTA configuration is valid. In doubt reset any non standard ISTA configuration and reinstall ISTA."
This error came up for no reason, just after few days of no using Rheingold. ALready tried reinstall Rheingold and also reinstall all versions of Microsoft Visual C++.

It was working fine before?

If not, make sure installed DB's match registry entries.

Yes it was working all fine before. Didn't touch any registry entries, no new programs installed etc, just using pc as always... This error came up for no reason after couple of weeks no using Rheingold and since then no solution.

for ISTA/D is it necessary to use Networktool and change network name to eth0? I am using windows 10 if that helps. If so is anyone able to post a link to this tool please that does not require torrent. Thanks

Works without rename.
Search works on the forum, you can find ISTA Standalone with NetworkTool.exe (realized - spider80).
