Hello yes you can change ecu on it own but it has to be coded in if you can't do this you need complete ecu set. Take a picture of ecu and post here as i may have 1.

And if you want swap to that other part number ecu you will need transfer all the data to the new one

Hmm yeah pretty expensive for an old ecu like that leave it with me and I'll see if I can get 1 cheaper for you so it's either copy data from one 2 the other or buy 1 with same part number
