EGR deleted from map question
Hi Guys, not long bought the car and having some major issue which i have overcome most, but have a few niggling thoughts in my head.
If the EGR part of the map has been deleted out of the map, does it require any of the egr system to work. I only ask as the previous owner had the car remapped and only reason i can see (other than power gains) is the EGR actuator on the cooler has snapped, rather then replacing it they had it mapped out. one of my problems have been that i had a vacuum leak from the egr diverter valve to the cooler so i have capped the the vacuum line after that valve to the actuator on the cooler. would this cause any issues with n75 ect. after i capped it off all my power has come back but im going into limp mode with 2 codes. P0299 turbo under boost P2563 turbo boost control sensor circuit the turbo is new as i have just replaced it, only seems to happen when engine is hot, im thinking it is the n75 so i have ordered a new one. if anyone can enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated golf mk5, 2.0l tdi 2009 140bhp. its is the mk5 body with what appears to be the mk6 engine (common rail) |

RE: EGR deleted from map question
When I had that fault, the smart actuator for the turbo was damaged.
