I have a problem with ODIS-S...

I installed Fantomel's copy of ODIS-S 7.2.1 and Windows 10 drivers for VAS5054A (I have original VAS5054A, bought it from official VW service when they changed to newer VAS6154A). VAS is normally detected in device manager. Also ODIS-S can see the tool. You can also read VIN and start the diagnosis. BUT then the problem occurs: "This is a CAN vehicle but communication with Gateway is not possible." Picture: https://imgbb.com/JQvLvf4
You can read ECU, ABS, and some other modules, but not Gateway, body module, central electrics etc.

I tried it on more cars (Skoda Octavia 2 redesign, Skoda Yetti, VW Golf Mk5, VW Passat 3C) and problem stays the same. Also I tried connecting VAS5054A over the bluetooth or USB. Nothing helps.
That same VAS5054A was working on Windows 7 virutal machine and ODIS-S version 5.something (I forgot the correct version).

I contacted Fantomel and he told me to try with tadk's post setup. So I did update my ODIS-S to tadk's post setup, but problem stays exactly the same!

Does anyone have even slightly idea what is wrong and how to fix my problem? I am out of ideas... :\

I went and install everything from scratch, trying and testing after every step that I did.
So if someone had or still has problem like me, here are the correct steps for installing ODIS Service with VAS5054A on Windows 10:


0. Prerequisite:
 - Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 32 and 64 bit: 
 - NetFramework 3.5 (enable it in Windows "Programs and features")
 - Install all C redistributables (given in ODIS/VAS setups)

1. Install ODIS 7.2.1. from Fantomel: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=58980

2. Install PostSetup from tadk: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=59045

3. Install Windows 10 drivers for VAS5054: (downloaded from fantomel's ODIS 7.2.1. thread) Please be careful when installing drivers and follow all the steps correctly!

4. Install isdochegal's patch fro VAS Win10 drivers: (https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.p...#pid564987)

That's it! Everything is working fine!

I did some quick tests. Here is diag protocol from Golf Mk5. I also scanned Polo 6R and everything was fine. Didn't had time to save protocol tho.

For those who have experience and ability please check it by working on real cars and please write if you find errors or not.
This is not an official postsetup, so you use it on your own risk.
Corrected to work with Softing 505x interfaces under Service 7.2.1 and updates are from version 10.0, Postsetup 100000.501.160.

Before you start installing Odis from 5054 on Windows 10, you need to do the following:

1) install PDF viewer

2) enable: control panel - uninstall or change a program - enable or disable Windows features -.Net Framework 3.5

3) install font Arialuni

4) installed Visual C++

5) using file bat., install version 6.2.0 with the choice of 5054, then specify the postsetup from version 7.2.1
Attention: if you have installed or are going to install engineering,
then you need to comment out the program folder during the installation
of programs or updates: Program Files (x86)\
##Offboard_Diagnostic_Information_System_Engineering
If after updating or installing a folder with the same name as the commented one appears,
then you need to delete it.
For example: if you install or update the service, then comment out the engineering,
if you install or update the engineering, then comment out the service.

6) The installation file of the program and the bat. file must be in the same folder.
