I am often approached about the issue from what I have read so far that some Mazda vehicles TCM suffers from due to being mounted directly on the transmission.

What I haven't find from my research, is what the issue usually is, that is caused from overheating etc.

Is there a specific parts in the module that usually gets damaged and needs replacing, or is it that the overheating melts soldering, causing shorts etc?

Any information as to what the issue usually is will be appreciated.
