I need to get on work with udpate to K0942 + 6.24.2 (now I got K0900 + 6.22.4 + keldo)

I found this tutorial (on this forum) :

- run script to enable Emergency Update on K0900
- force Emergency Update with K0900
- install K0942
- delete nav database and nav partition and install new maps 6.24.2
- activated maps with same activator as for K0900 and 6.22.4
- reinstall K0942 (install GEMMI etc.)
- delete fault 03623 with same script as for K0900 and 6.22.4

A lot of peaople considers this is the best udpate method.

My question:

What are the benefits of using this method? (using Emergency update to K0900, deleting navdatabase and navpartition and activatind with the old activator?

Activator for MMI3G HIGH has a different layout than the files specified in the user manual update 1.7 . It lacks metainfo.txt file and file * .FSC
After the card is inserted, the unit does not recognize. Any ideas?

I can confirm that is completely safe to use my uninstaller in 3G High.

If you check the 3G High activator code is Keldo activator with some changes.

It should work and uninstall 3G High activator.

Right. The Keldo activator uninstaller runs on mmi 3g HDD. After using it I have returned to:

1.- Install Hnav_EU_257_6_1
2.- Delete map through the green menu
3.- Delete partition
4.- Install map 6.24.2
5.- Install activator _MMI3GH_ACT.zip. It installs ok

Result "The navigation data is blocked"

Tested with 64GB SD Card. All in FAT32, in slot sd2 and sd1 and as indicated in the manual. What's wrong?

Just to help anyone unsure if their SD card can be used to upgrade their MMI....

I have used 32GB 64GB 128GB SD cards formatted with programs who can make FAT32 file system on my SD card and used it on my MMI 3GP unit.

I have heard that exFAT also has been accepted by the MMI, but for sure it will accept FAT32.

Another thing to think about is the cluster size.
If cluster size is 64k, and you have 1000 files of 2k, you acctually occupy 64k*1000 in storage space, but if you use cluster size of 2k or 1k you would occupy 2k*1000.

Then you could fit more files into you SD card.

Now I am running 942_4 with 6.24.2 and Google Earth working.

Only thing left is Online traffic

I have a question for the professionals ??? to change the region 5F,
whether you want to edit eprom with the aid of the VCP, or enough to reset the region via the engineering menu, and turn off the control of the region, followed by the launch of bootloader and installing K770???

I left it more than 10 minutes and nothing. Apparently it installs well, but same result.

For me, perhaps finally I succeeded.
With slot SD1 has not seen the card so loaded to SD2.
At SD2 activator is launched. After the restart MMI yet running.

I uploaded in the first post a modified activator for 3G High, which can help those that the original activator does not work for them.

I have not been able to test it since I do not have a 3G High, but it is safe to use.
