yesterday i struggle to set up mini-vci (clone version) as it not seeing car in xentry.  i was getting communication error.  solution is to create directory c:\temp\mvci and copy dill file i have included in archive in attachment and run the reg file.  it was the function library (dll file) was not seen by the drivers for the cable. thus giving a communication error.  after i did this now xentry working fine work mini vci.  i hope this solution fixes the problems for some who have my problem. changing com port 2 to will do nothing and is not a solution. only will help if other device is trying to share same com port.

I do not have any communication error, just go to the window where I want to connect with the car and stop there and nothing happens. Thank you, apomysl, I was thanked and rep and I'm fixing your patch

Patches are included in steps 1-10 is all. So if you did all steps as you state through 10 then you also installed the required patches.

Can someone help me on starter key it says invalid key! I need help asap

I assume you mean startkey, you have to install
4. install old keys loader for configassist
and runf the .reg file
then run ConfigAssist / configure click on the lock and use the Hardware ID to generate key using the old Key Generator.
Click manual insert key and good to go.

hi can anyone help me when i run xentry diagnosis it pops up this error "fatal error(104) no SAE j2534 configuration is available" and after i press okay it shows another error like this " Error 1 selectPTDevice could not be started " if anyone knows the solution i would really appreciate it the file i installed is xentry pass thru from above link. thanks in advanced

Hello!

I have MB A170cdi 2001. I bought Mini VCI cable from aliexpress.
I have Xentry PassThru 2018 installed with all fixes on Win7 x64.
Extracted msi XHorse driver to C:\temp\mvci. Applied registry fix.
There is MVCI32.dll file at C:\temp\mvci pointed by FunctionLibrary registry key.
And when I try to connect to A170 cdi 2001 I get error in DAS shown on image attached.
When DAS loading ECUs the led on cable blinks several times.

Can someone help me? Can I use minivci cable on this car?
I don't have another MB car to try.

P.S.
Also I have cheap ELM327 bluetooth adapter and I can read live data (exept MAF flow) using TorquePRO.
But I can't read DTCs and freeze frame data.

Also I have VCX Nano (powered for VIDA) and I get same error in DAS like with this MINI VCI cable.

i don't use mini vci, but you almost succeed.
btw, where is the floating ignition on/off?
do you intentionally hide it?
if not, try to copy global.sim to
c:\programdata\mercedes-benz\csd\writefil\sim

you can search global.sim in c:\program files (x86)\mercedes-benz\das\

Here is floating ignition window (attached pic). It differs if I  run DAS from Xentry or standalone.
However I get same error: "Diagnostic system data sectors are incomplete or faulty"

How about genuine second generation VCI2 Actia Multidiag XS+ 2G? It covers J2534-1 and J2534-2. My supplier told me it works flawless. I am installing to try!

Hi.
I tested VAS5054 + Xentry 12.2018 on my ML350 W164
Its all works good, all features and developer menu are available.
I have only one question: To change ignition ON/OFF I used tool. Is this a Xentry not recognized when ignition are ON/OFF or adapter VAS5054 not recognized/supported this functionality?
